Conventional approaches often start with teaching — more reading, more phonics, more spelling etc. My approach stops teaching for a while so I can understand why your child is struggling in the first place using my unique R.E.S.TT (Relax, Explore, Stabilise, Then Teach) approach.
After building a sense of safety and trust, we look at how your child actually experiences letters and words. That reveals the specific barriers that are getting in the way of their learning and allows us to change them. From here, we build individualised sessions around your child rather than asking them to fit into another cookie-cutter program.
